If you have Qwest, you most likely have a DSL connection, although in some areas, Qwest provides dial up or cable Internet. No matter what type of connection you have through Qwest, there are a few ways that you can boost your Internet connection with Qwest.

1. Check the model number of your modem and router and then look online or call a Qwest representative to see if you have the newest modem and router for your set up. Even a slightly newer version of a modem or router can increase the Internet speed.

2. Call Qwest at the customer service number given to you when you signed up for service. Ask them if you have signed up for the fastest Internet speed that they currently offer. If not, upgrade your service.

3. Clear your computer of any unused programs by going to "Add/Remove Programs" in your control panel and uninstalling anything you do not use. This will make your computer run faster, and increase the speed of your Internet connection.
