How to Burn a DVD From a VCD in Nero
Burning a DVD from a file contained on a VCD disc can be accomplished by using two programs offered by Nero. Nero Move It is a program that will allow you to move files from CDs to your computer and other devices. Nero Burning Rom allows you to burn several kinds of files onto DVD. Nero Move It can be downloaded on its own. Nero Burning Rom is part of the Nero Multimedia Suite program package.

Using Nero Move It

Open the Nero Move It software on your computer.

Insert the VCD into your computer's disc drive.

Click the CD icon on the left side of the screen in the Nero Move It program. Click the "Videos" option that appears underneath the CD icon. Click the PC icon on the right side of the window. Select "Videos." This will put the ripped file into that folder on your computer.

Click on the file icon for the video you want to rip. Click the "Play" button in the middle of the Nero Move It window. Allow several minutes for the file to transfer.
Using Nero Burning Rom

Remove the VCD from your computer's disc drive, and insert a blank DVD. Close Nero Move It, and open Nero Burning Rom.

Click "DVD" from the drop-down menu in the "New Compilation" window.

Click "DVD-Video" from the tiny window on the left.

Click the "New" button on the right side of the window. Choose the file you want to burn to a DVD by locating the file you just ripped to your computer.

Click the burn icon at the top of the window. Make sure the box next to "Write" is checked in the next window. Click the "Burn" button and allow time for the disc to burn.
