Irish dancing, made famous by Michael Flatley's dance show "Lord of the Dance," has gained great popularity in the United States and around the world. Learning how to perform Irish step dancing can be fun, great exercise, and a way to meet new people.

Attend a local Irish dance class. Many larger towns offer dance classes and with the popularity of Irish dance it should be easy to locate lessons.

Read a book on Irish dance (see references) and self-teach using the images and diagrams. This can also be a great way to get some background and prepare yourself for future lessons.
