How to Remove a Tinted Window Sticker
Car owners are well-known for customizing their vehicles with decals and stickers. However, tastes and preferences change with the time, oftentimes leaving a car owner with a sticker that doesn't mean what it once did. Removing these stickers from window tint can be especially difficult. Without proper care and patience, a removed sticker might take some of the window tint with it, leaving behind an unsightly patch of tintless window.

- Soapy water
- Sponge
- Razor blade
- Degreaser
- Lint-free towel
- Glass cleaner (optional)

Moisten the sticker with a sponge damp with soapy water. Gently press the sponge onto the sticker, focusing on the edges to work water under the decal. Alternatively, use window cleaner instead of soapy water.

Allow the soapy water (or window cleaner) to soften the sticker for ten minutes.

Hold the razor blade flat against the window and slowly work it under an edge. If the edge doesn't give way or if the razor blade cuts through the sticker, start over on a different edge. Be sure not to cut into the window tint.

Repeat Steps 1 through 3 until the sticker is completely removed.

Pour a small amount of degreaser onto the lint-free towel.

Wipe away any decal residue in a circular, buffing motion. Leftover glue will eventually dissolve and wipe away on the towel.

Tips & Warnings
Some people find success by using water-displacing spray instead of soapy water or window cleaner.
Depending on how long the sticker has been on your tinted window, there may not be a way to remove it without discoloring or tearing the window tint. Perform this procedure at your own risk.
