How to Upgrade From AOL Broadband to AOL 9.0

Download the latest AOL browser.

While using AOL broadband as your Internet access service you can the browser used with the AOL service. America Online is constantly upgrading the browser made available to customers, one of the latest being AOL 9.0. The program is free to download and once installed gives added features over the current browser you are running. The entire download and upgrade process only takes a few minutes to complete.

Instructions

1. Open your current AOL browser and navigate to the AOL 9.0 download page (see Resources).

2. Click "Start Download" and the program begins to download to your computer.

3. Close out the current Internet browser (AOL 9.0 is installed over it and the installation cannot continue until the current browser is closed). Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installation wizard.

4. Accept the user license agreement, click "Next" for both the installation name and location (this installs the AOL 9.0 over the previous version so you do not have two different versions of AOL running on the computer).

5. Choose "Install" and the AOL 9.0 upgrade installs onto the computer.
