How to Find Something on a Page in Firefox
The second most popular Web browser, behind only Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox is a free, open-source browser maintained and distributed by Mozilla. It offers a host of helpful features, such as tabbed browsing, private browsing, one-click bookmarking, a password manager, and tools that fight phishing and malware. Once you understand how its Find feature works, using Firefox to locate a word or selection of text on a Web page becomes a quick task.

Open a Firefox browser window and navigate to a site of interest.

Click "Edit" in the top menu bar and select "Find". A search bar appears at the bottom of the window.

Enter the word or phrase you want to search for in the "Find" box. The box turns red if the word or phrase does not appear anywhere on the page. If your search query does appear on the page, the first instance is highlighted.

Navigate to additional instances of the word or phrase by pressing the "Enter" key or the "Next" button located to the right of the "Find" field. Return to previous instances by clicking the "Previous" button.

Click the "X" at the left edge of the Find bar to close the feature after completing your search.

Tips & Warnings
View all instances of a word or phrase on the page by clicking the "Highlight all" button.
Check the "Match case" box to perform a case-sensitive search for your selected word or phrase.
