How to Publish a Web Page Made on Wordpad

Publish a webpage created in WordPad.

Webpages are made using web-programming languages. While some WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) programs make it easy to create webpages without knowing how to "speak" those languages, some programs choose to use a basic text application like WordPad. Webpages made with WordPad are just as valid as one made with a fancy web-authoring application. Publishing these webpages are the same as publishing any other webpages.

Instructions

1. Save your WordPad webpage as a HTML document by clicking "File > Save As." Click the drop-down arrow next to "File type as:" and choose "Webpage."

2. Upload the document to your web server using the cPanel (control panel) that came along with your hosting account by clicking on "File Manager." You can also upload the webpage by using a FTP (file transfer protocol) program. You will need the login details for the FTP account associated with your account. This information is included in the "Welcome" email that you received when setting up the hosting account.

3. Add a link to the main website to the new uploaded webpage. This is how the visitors will get to the webpage from your website.
