How to Reinstall AOL
The reinstallation of AOL software follows the same procedure as a regular AOL software installation. Following these steps will install the version of AOL previously used on the computer. Before attempting to reinstall the software, ensure that the computer meets the system requirements for the version of AOL to be used.

Click the \"Start\" menu at the bottom of the computer screen, then click the \"Search\" queue.

Type in \"Advanced Search\" in the \"Search\" queue.

Locate the drop-down menu in the \"Advanced Search\" box and check the box labeled \"Include non-index, hidden, and system files (might be slow).\"

Click the \"Location\" drop-down menu and select \"Local Disk (C:).\"

Type \"aolback.exe\" in the \"Advanced Search\" queue.

Double-click the \"aolback.exe\" file and follow its step-by-step instructions.
Windows XP

Click the \"Start\" menu and then click \"Search.\"

Select the \"All files and folders\" option in the \"Search Results\" window.

Change the \"Look\" in the drop-down menu to select the \"C:\\ drive.\"

Type \"aolback.exe\" into the \"All\" or part of the file name box. Click Search.

Double-click the \"aolback.exe\" file and follow the instructions that appear.
Windows 2000/Me

Tips & Warnings
You can use your previous screen name to reopen your former AOL account, as long as you remember your password.<br /><br />Once you have reinstalled the software, you can upgrade the version of AOL by typing \"Upgrade\" in the \"AOL Keyword\" box.
