How to Remove All Mozilla Firefox

If you want to completely remove all traces of the Mozilla Firefox Web browser from your computer, you'll have to do two things. First, you'll need to enter the software uninstaller that is built into your operating system and remove Mozilla Firefox that way. Second, you'll have to go into the "Program Files" folder on your computer's hard drive and manually remove any traces of Firefox that your computer's software uninstaller didn't get the first time around.

Instructions

Software Uninstaller

1. Click "Start."

2. Click "Control Panel."

3. Click "Programs and Features."

4. Click "Mozilla Firefox."

5. Click "Uninstall." This will remove a good portion of Mozilla Firefox from your computer. All of the system files will be gone—the only thing that will remain are your user preferences.

Program Files

1. Click "Start."

2. Click "Computer."

3. Open the "C" drive by double clicking on its icon.

4. Open "Program Files" by double clicking on it.

5. Delete the folder labeled "Mozilla Firefox". This will delete the last remnants of the Mozilla Firefox Web browser from your computer.

Mac

1. Click on the "Applications" folder on your Mac desktop.

2. Click on the icon for Mozilla Firefox.

3. Drag the icon for Mozilla Firefox into the trash can on your Mac desktop. This will remove Mozilla Firefox from your Mac computer.
