How to Download to a Sony Walkman
So you finally got your new Sony Walkman and are ready to rock out, but you don't know how to get your favorite tunes off of your computer and onto your MP3 player. No worries - all you need is your Walkman, your computer with your song files on it, and a USB cable, and before you know it, you'll be jammin' anywhere you go.

1
Turn on your computer and let it boot up. Connect your USB cable to both your Walkman and your computer (look for an open USB port on your computer to plug the cable into).
-
2
Make sure your computer recognizes this connection. Your computer will either show the message "Your USB device is ready for use," or you can go to the "Start" button in Windows and go to "Computer." If you see Sony Walkman listed under your hard drives, you're good. Open the Sony Walkman file, and select the folder where you want to store your music.

3
Find and open the directory on your computer where you keep the music files you want to transfer to your Walkman. Select the files you want to transfer. To select multiple files, hold the "Ctrl" key while you select. Right-click and select the Copy button.
-
4
Go back to the Sony Walkman folder where you want to store your music. Right-click your mouse and press "Paste." If you don't have the "Paste" option in the Sony Walkman folder, either paste the music files in the original folder and then drag them over to the Sony Walkman folder with your mouse, or right-click on the duplicate files, hit the "Send To" button and pick the Sony Walkman folder. Make sure you make copies of your music; otherwise, if you try to transfer them as is, you won't have them on your computer anymore once they transfer to your Walkman.
