How to Fill a Hole in the Shower Wall
Your shower should be one of the cleanest places in your house because of the moisture that can collect in and around it. If that moisture stays, mold can grow. If your shower wall has a hole in it, you must fix it so you can keep mold from festering under your tiles. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Polyester resin
- Hardener
- Putty knife
- Razor blade
- Sandpaper, 600 grit
- Porcelain touch-up paint kit
- Small paintbrush

Mix the polyester resin and the hardener together to create a paste. These materials are usually used to fix holes in car bodies.

Scoop up some paste with a putty knife. Press the paste into the hole in the shower wall tile so it is slightly over filled. Allow paste to begin drying.

Scrape away all excess resin with a razor blade when the paste has achieved a rubbery consistency so that the resin remains only in the hole. Wet the sand paper, and sand down the resin in the hole until it is even with the tile surface.

Mix several paint colors together from the porcelain touch-up kit to make a paint that matches the existing tile color. Paint the resin using the paint you mixed with a small brush. Allow the paint to dry.

Sand down the resin one final time with the sand paper.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure you are operating in a well-ventilated area because the paint and the resin can produce hazardous fumes.
