How to Remove Snow From a Car With a Water Hose
After a large snow storm, nobody wants to take the time to clear all the snow off his or her vehicle with an ice scraper, shovel, and broom. A quick solution to clearing snow off your car is to melt it quickly with water. You can rinse the snow off quickly by spraying it with a garden hose.
Instructions
-
-
1
Hook the garden hose up to the water source.
-
2
If possible, park your car on a slight slope so the water can drain away. Turn on the defroster in the car to full blast. Leave the car running and shut the car door tightly.
-
-
3
Turn on the water source all the way. Wash the snow off the muffler first to prevent CO2 buildup in your vehicle. Rinse off your car thoroughly with the hose until all the snow and ice has melted away.
-
4
Quickly dry the entire surface of your car with towels to prevent ice from forming on your car.
-
5
Shut off the defroster and shut off the car.

And then there's that pesky problem where your frozen windows all crack due to the warmish water fracturing them. What an idiot. -

Does this person even live where there is snow? Water would not "run" into the street, because that would be full of snow as well! You'd be standing in a puddle that will quickly freeze. Unless of course, we ALL use our garden hoses to remove snow. Heck, if we all left our hoses on, we'd totally get rid of this pesky snow problem altogether... I have a better idea, how about you drive your cars into a river. The moving water would clear all the snow, and you'd have a better chance of opening the car door underwater than you would after your door jams freeze. Thanks for the suggestion, I needed a good belly laugh. -

Good luck ever getting the car doors open again before spring. One other thing, you're going to have to move. Your neighbors are going to hate you for running water in the street or parking lot, creating ice for them to deal with. You might even manage to freeze their tires to the ground. What areyou thinking? -
