You can clear search boxes.

Because people use different types of browsers, the way to clear search engine boxes on your computer depends on the kind of web browser you use. Three of the most popular web browsers are Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. While Internet Explorer is a browser used solely on PCs, while Safari is the default web browser for Mac computers. Firefox is a web browser that is designed to function on both Mac and PC computers.

Instructions

Internet Explorer

1. Select "Tools."

2. Choose "Delete Browsing History."

3. Click "Delete forms." A confirmation window will appear.

4. Click "Yes." Close the window. You have now cleared the search box in Internet Explorer.

Safari

1. Navigate to the "Safari" menu at the top of the page.

2. Click "Safari."

3. Click "Reset Safari." When the new window opens, select "Reset." You have now cleared the Safari search box.

Firefox

1. Click "Tools" at the top of the page.

2. Choose "Clear Private Data."

3. Click "Saved Form and Search History."

4. Press the "Clear Private Data Now" button. You now have cleared the search box in Firefox.
