Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter. These adapters can be found at most electronics stores, and are compatible with all modern versions of Windows. Acer Aspire One netbooks generally have Windows XP or Windows 7 Starter installed.

    • 2

Connect the USB drive to the computer using one of the USB ports on the side of the netbook. Windows will automatically detect the adapter and a pop-up notification will appear in your system tray.

    • 3

Click on this notification to launch the Bluetooth wizard. Once the model has been discerned, Windows will automatically download drivers for the device. Once these drivers have finished downloading, your Bluetooth adapter is ready for use.

Tips & Warnings

  • When purchasing an adapter, make sure it has the Windows "Plug and Play" features distinction. Most modern adapters have this feature, but a few older models may still require CD installation of drivers, which is not possible on an Aspire One, as it does not contain a CD-ROM drive. If you are not sure about the type of adapter, ask a sales associate for assistance.
