How Do I Attach My iPod Shuffle to a Docking Station?
The second-generation iPod shuffle is the only shuffle model able to be attached to a docking station, which can then be connected to a computer via USB cable. The 2G iPod shuffle's docking station is included with purchase, and can be purchased separately from Apple online or at an Apple store.

- Apple 2G iPod Shuffle dock
- USB 2.0 port
- iTunes 7.0.2 or later
- Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or later
- Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later

Insert the docking station's USB cable into your computer's USB port.

Connect the iPod shuffle to the docking station by inserting the docking station's metal jack into the shuffle's headphone port.

Open iTunes on your computer to access the iPod shuffle's content. Click the "Music" tab to change synchronization settings, and "Apply" to save the changes.

Click the "Eject" icon next to the iPod shuffle tab in the iTunes source list, then remove the shuffle from the docking station.
