Becoming a judge for the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG allows you to run tournaments for other players.

Although playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (also known as Yu-Gi-Oh TCG and YGO TCG) is an enjoyable experience itself, you can reap additional rewards by becoming a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG judge and running tournaments for other players. Becoming a tournament judge requires preparation and dedication so you can facilitate other people's enjoyment of the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign up for an Upper Deck Entertainment, or UDE, account. The sign-up process on UDE's website only requires you to submit such basic information as your e-mail address and name.

    • 2

Study for the Level 1 Judge test. Read the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG rulebook and study the answers to frequently asked questions about the game. Follow discussions of the game on fan sites. UDE also encourages you to talk with local judges, who may be able to teach you the answers to tricky rules questions.

    • 3

Take the Level 1 Judge test on UDE's website. Although you can retake the test if you fail, you may take the test only once per week.

    • 4

Respond to the follow-up questions UDE will e-mail you after you pass the test. The questions mainly aim to verify your identity. Once you answer them, UDE will certify you as a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG judge.
