If you have a scuff or a scratch on your Toyota Camry, you can cover it up with touch-up paint. Toyota makes small tubes of touch-up paint that match your car's color exactly. In order to purchase this paint, you must know your car's paint code. This is a three-digit code that contains both letters and numbers. If the code is illegible, the Toyota dealership should be able to locate the code with the Vehicle Identification Number, or VIN.

Step 1

Open the driver's side door. Look for a label on the inside of the door jamb. The paint code is located underneath the bar code. It is the first three digits after the letters "C/TR."

Step 2

Locate your VIN number if you can't find the label on the inside of the door jamb, or if the code on that label is illegible. The VIN number is on the driver's side dash, near the windshield. You can read it best by standing outside the vehicle and looking through the windshield.

Step 3

Write down the paint code or your VIN number, and call the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 800-331-4331 to inquire about the manufacturer's name for the paint.
