How to Connect a Laptop to a TV Using HDMI thumbnail
Many laptop computers have direct HDMI ports.

If you own a laptop that has a digital video output port, you can connect your laptop to your HDTV using an HDMI cable. The most convenient situation occurs if your laptop has a built-in HDMI port. However, if your laptop doesn't have a built-in HDMI port, there is still hope. If your laptop has a DVI port, you can use a DVI to HDMI adapter to connect your laptop to your HDTV.
