How to Raise the Seat on a 1999 Honda XR Motorcycle
Raising and removing the seat from Honda's 1999 XR-series motorcycle is necessary for performing many of the maintenance and upgrade procedures on the machine's motor, carburetor and electrical system. However, the seat's fasteners are often concealed or hidden, making the removal process a bit more complex than it really is. The seat is typically secured by a pair of bolts that run through the frame or rear fender. Once these bolts are removed, the seat can be easily pulled off of the motorcycle.
