How to Record a DVD Using a GoVideo VCR
A built in function exists in most VCRs, including the GoVideo VCR known as macrovision. This prevents the recording of DVD content on any VCR, including a GoVideo VCR. The signal is sent from the DVD player to other devices, letting the hardware know the DVD is a copy-protected video. However, if you want to make a backup copy of the DVD on your GoVideo VCR, a way can be found around this macrovision. As long as you are creating a backup to a DVD you currently own, and do not sell the resultant VHS tape or original DVD, the procedure is completely legal.
Things You'll Need

1
Plug the red, white and yellow ends of an RCA to 3.5mm audio/video cable into the "Video Out" ports on the DVD player. Connect the 3.5mm end into the "Video In" port on a digital video camera. When the video camera absorbs the macrovision signal, it sends on the video content to the GoVideo VCR without macrovision, allowing you to record the content onto a VHS tape.
