How to Open Ode

An .ODE file contains information relating to the operation of Microsoft Office on your computer. Office automatically creates these files and stores certain bits of programming information inside of them so that it can refer back to this information later on. Though .ODE files are created automatically by Microsoft Office, they do not get opened in the same program. If you want to open an .ODE file on your computer, you can do so using Notepad.

Instructions

1. Right-click on the .ODE file you are trying to open.

2. Click "Open With..."

3. Click "Notepad." The contents of the .ODE file will now display on screen in a Notepad window.
