1
Lay some garland along the window sill. If your window sill is narrow, then you may have to hold the garland in place with thumb tacks. Push a few thumb tacks into the window sill. Tie some of the sprigs of garland around the thumb tack to hold the garland in place.

2
Stick a few artificial berries around the garland. You can use berry picks purchased from a craft store or even a berry garland. If berries do not match your decorative theme, then you can use pine cones, leaves, bells or even Christmas ornaments. You can even use Christmas presents or dishes.

3
Spray the garland with fake snow. Shake the can before spraying the snow. Place the can six to eight inches away from the garland and spray evenly. If you do not wish to have the mess of fake snow, or you don't like the look of artificial snow, then you can skip this step.

4
Make some snowflakes out of paper by folding the paper several times and cutting out shapes along the edges. Start with round paper to make round snowflakes, and square paper to make square snowflakes. Open the paper, smooth the creases and tape the snowflakes to the window.
-
5
Place several large candles (real or fake) on the window sill. How many you place will depend on the size of your sill. Make sure to leave room for your figurines.
-
6
Place a few Christmas figurines on the window sill. Use whatever Christmas figurines you want. A collection of Santas, snowmen, nutcrackers, carolers or Christmas trees makes a great window display. Face the figurines toward the outside. Make sure none of the figurines are covered by a snowflake when viewed from the outside.
