Instructions

      Launch your Pantech Duo's voice recorder. Click "Menu," "Media," "Music & Tones," "My Sounds" and "Record New," but don't press "Record" just yet.

      Load your music player (you can use your computer's music player or a CD player). If you use your computer's music player, launch your media player, locate the song of which you want to make a ringtone, position it at the point where you want your ringtone to start and press "Pause." If you use a CD player, insert the CD into the player, click to the song of which you want to make a ringtone, fast-forward the song to where you want your ringtone to begin and press "Pause."

      Click "Record" on your Pantech Duo, and then press "Play" on your music player. Record the section of the song you want to be your ringtone, and then press "Stop" on both devices.

      Press the right soft key on your Pantech Duo for "Options" and then press "Save" to name and save your ringtone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Begin recording on your Pantech Duo before you begin playing your music because your cell phone needs a second or two to begin recording.

  • Make sure there is no background noise in your recording that you don't want in it before recording.
