How to Write a Quality Audit
Quality audits are helpful tools that allow a company or organization to assess the quality of a procedure. Writers of this type of audit must make sure that all rules and regulations set forth by a company are being met, that research has been conducted appropriately, and that findings are being documented so improvements can be made.

1
Look at the system in place and understand how it works currently. Determine whether the guidelines in policy manuals or paperwork are being followed, and if not, discover what changes are being made. Figure out whether the current system is accomplishing the goals that the company wants to meet.
-
2
Establish a plan. Meet with the department or people who will be included in the audit to show them your plan and gain their approval. Outline when you expect to begin the process and provide a list of the forms you require for writing.

3
Stick to your plan. Target the people you will be auditing and make a document to keep track of progress. Check off each item on the list so that you can ensure all procedures of the system are being followed acceptably.
-
4
Speak with the people being audited and compare what they say to the information you have studied in the system manuals. Keep a careful record of all discussions, especially those with people who are performing tasks in their own way.
-
5
Document all of your findings. Talk to the men and women who are in charge of the workers you have audited, and let them know your results. Be sure to share what you believe will help them perform better, the activities you saw taking place and the items you noticed as a result of your research. Provide them with an overall rating of their systems and procedures.
