Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the stove and make sure it's completely cool before cleaning. Dampen a sponge with water and add a dime-sized amount of dish soap or ceramic cleanser.

    • 2

Wipe the surface of the stove with the sponge. Add more cleanser if necessary. Evenly coat the surface of the stove with cleanser or soap, and scrub it well.

    • 3

Rinse the sponge under warm running water. Wring it out and wipe the stove to remove soap or cleaner. Repeat this until all traces of residue are gone.

    • 4

Scrape burned-on food with a razor blade held at a 45-degree angle. Wipe away the food or crumbs with a damp sponge.

    • 5

Dry the surface with a clean cloth.

    • 6

Cover scratches with a paste of baking soda and water or jeweler's rouge. Wipe over the scratch gently in a circular motion with the lamb's wool. Rinse with a clean wet cloth and dry the glass. Check for progress and repeat this if necessary. Don't press too hard, as this can cause more scratching.
