How to Change a Clock From Military Time

How to Change a Clock From Military Time thumbnail
The military uses a 24-hour clock.

If you are not used to telling the time using the 24-hour military clock, it can be difficult to adjust when the military setting appears on your computer. The good news is that computer owners can easily change the clock settings on their computers from military time settings. Those who have their clocks set to a 12-hour setting and want to use a 24-hour military clock can also easily change their settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Start" on the desktop, then "Control Panel" from the menu that opens. A new window will open.

    • 2

Click "Classic View" if you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. If you are using Windows 2000 or an earlier version of Windows, skip this step.

    • 3

      Click "Regional and Language Options."

    • 4

Click the "Regional options" tab. Select the "Customize" button.

    • 5

Click the "Time" tab. Click the drop-down menu next to "Time format."

    • 6
