1
Bend your 14-gauge wire around a round object, such as a paper towel roll, to get a circular shape. Twist the ends together twice and clip off one end with your wire cutters so that it is flush. Leave about 1/4 inch on the other end. Slip the hoop you just made off of the round form. Use a pair of round-nose pliers to create a simple loop with the length your left. This will be the loop you use to hang your dream catcher from the necklace or earring hook.

2
Cut 2 feet of your 28-gauge beading wire and wrap one end around the top loop three times to make it secure. Work your way clockwise around the loop to make your "stitches." Move about 5 mm to 1 cm from where you started and tie the wire to the loop. Keep repeating this until you come back around to the top.

3
Loop the end of the wire around the middle of the first stitch you made (the wire itself, not the loop). Repeat this process all the way around, spiraling toward the center. Feed a small bead, such as glass seed beads, in random spots, like a regular dream catcher. Stop when you have a small hole in the center. Wrap the end of the wire at least five times around the bottom of the hole and snip off the excess.

4
Wind some more of the 28-gauge wire around the loop to cover the 14-gauge wire. This will make it stronger and appear neater. You can also use a colored thread for this to add color and texture to the dream catcher. Hang faux feathers or metal feather charms and beads from the bottom of the dream catcher. If making a pair of earrings, repeat the entire process to make a matching earring.

5
Attach your dream catcher to a necklace chain or earring hooks. Use your round-nose pliers to open the loop at the top of the dream catcher slightly, just enough to slip it on to a chain link or the loops at the bottom of the earring hooks.
