Instructions

    • 1

Place the Oster clippers on a flat surface. Unscrew the screws with a screwdriver to remove the blade and set aside. Some common problems with Oster clippers, including hair pulling and insufficient cutting, are caused by worn blades.

    • 2

Pull a replacement blade out of the clipper kit. Most Oster clippers come with several replacement blades.

    • 3

Spray compressed air into the clippers to dislodge any hair, dust or dirt that might have accumulated in the clippers, which can cause them to run hot and possibly damage the motor.

    • 4

Place the new blade assembly on the clippers and fasten with screws. Place two drops of oil between the teeth at each end of the blade, then turn the clippers on to distribute the oil. Take the old blade in for sharpening if desired.
