How to Remove Pink Bleed Stains on Fabric
Fom time to time, when you remove clothes from the washing machine you find your whites or clothing with white trim has turned pink. This happens due to the color from a red garment bleeding and subsequently dying your other garments. Red dye stains are notoriously difficult to remove, but you can remove the pink bleed stains from your laundry if you act fast and use simple supplies found in your laundry room or at the store. Things You'll Need
- Clean towel
- Heavy duty laundry detergent
- All-fabric powdered bleach
- Water
- Bowl
- Old toothbrush

Lay a clean towel down on your work surface.

Pour some heavy duty laundry detergent onto the pink bleed stain. Rub the fabric together to work the detergent into the fibers. Allow the detergent to sit for 10 minutes.

Cool water rinses without setting the stain. Rinse with cool water. Check progress to see if the pink bleed stain has disappeared.

Make a paste of equal parts all-fabric bleach and water in a bowl.

Use an old toothbrush as a scrubber. Scrub the paste into any remaining pink bleed stains using an old toothbrush, then allow it to sit for 10 minutes.

Rinse with cool water, then wash according to the instructions on your garment's care label.

Tips & Warnings
Be proactive; the quicker you get to pink bleed stains, the greater chance you have of removing them.
Avoid placing laundry with pink bleed stains in the dryer. The heat will set the stain.
