Things You'll Need
- Vacuum
- Mop
- Proprietary residue remover
- Clean cloth
- Stone sealer
- Paint roller
- Natural-bristle brush
- Rag

Vacuum the stone floor entirely and mop with a damp mop to remove dirt, dust and other grime that can seep into the pores of unprotected stone floors.

Apply a proprietary residue remover according to the manufacturer's instructions to treat stubborn stains and tough residue. Dry the surface with a soft, clean cloth such as microfiber to remove all moisture before sealing.

Ventilate work area. Prepare the stone sealant according to label instructions. Saturate the floor with an even coat of the sealant with a paint roller or natural-bristle brush. Apply the sealant with long strokes in the same direction for complete coverage.

Wipe any excess sealant with a clean rag to prevent streaking. Allow the application to cure for the time indicated on the label.
