How to Format San Disk for Wii Music
The Nintendo Wii has a secret menu that anyone can access if they want to play music. The process requires that a SanDisk memory card is first formatted so it can be used on the Wii, which does not include such a capability. You can format a SanDisk memory card using a computer. You will need a memory card reader but no special software. Formatting the SanDisk memory card so it can be used on a Wii is a straightforward procedure. Insert the SanDisk memory card into the slot on the memory card reader. Plug the memory car

Wait for the icon of the SanDisk memory card to appear on the computer's desktop.

Right-click on the icon of the SanDisk memory card. Select "Format" from the pop-up menu.

Name the SanDisk memory card that is to be formatted for use on a Nintendo Wii in the "Name" column at the top of the window that appears. Uncheck the "Quick Format" option on the window if present.

Press the "Start" or "Format" button on the window. Wait for the confirmation window to appear. Click "OK" on the confirmation window to close the window and return to the desktop.

Right-click on the icon of the SanDisk memory card. Select "Eject" from the pop-up menu. Disconnect the memory card reader's USB cable from the USB port of the computer.

Remove the SanDisk memory card from the memory card reader's slot. The SanDisk memory card is now properly formatted to work with a Nintendo Wii.

Tips & Warnings
MP3 music files can be transferred to the SanDisk memory card on the computer once it has been formatted to work with a Nintendo Wii.
Formatting the SanDisk memory card will delete all of the contents that is already on it.
Do not use a USB hub to connect to the memory card reader, as a built-in USB port will provide a more stable signal for formatting the SanDisk memory card.
