How to Calculate OBP
On base percentage (OBP) indicates how often a baseball player gets on base. OBP is an indicator of how a player is hitting and running. Coaches, scouts and players monitor this statistic, as well as others figures, such as earned run averages (ERAs) and runs batted in (RBIs). The higher a player's OBP is, the better he is performing offensively.

Add a player's hits, walks and times hit by a pitch.

Add a player's walks, times hit by a pitch, sacrifice flies and times at bat.

Divide your answer from Step 1 by your answer from Step 2. For example, if a player's total for Step 1 was six, and his total from Step 2 was 10, then six divided by 10 would give an OBP of 0.600.

Tips & Warnings
Do not count a hit if it is based on an error or a fielder's choice. Do not count an at-bat if it is a sacrifice bunt.
