1. Enter the percentage that you want to convert into the calculator. For example, if you wanted to convert 169 percent to a decimal, you would first enter the number 169 in the calculator.

2. Press the divide button.

3. Enter the number 100.

4. Press the equals button. The resulting number is the percentage represented as a decimal. For our example, we find that 169 percent is equal to 1.69.
