How to Increase eMule Download Speed
EMule is a file-sharing application used to upload and download files to other users in the eMule network. A file's download speed depends on a large number of factors, some of which you can adjust in order to maximize the download speed. The higher the download speed, the quicker your files will finish downloading.

1
Configure your eMule connection options. Connection configuration depends on your computer's specifications, operating system and Internet connection type. The easiest way to get it right is to use the connection Wizard. Open the "Connection" menu and click the Wizard button at the bottom of the connection dialog box. Follow the prompts, and allow eMule to decide the best connection options for you.

2
Downgrade your firewall protection. Firewalls can restrict the transfer of data between your computer and the Internet, potentially slowing your download speed. Note that disabling your firewall or reducing its protection level may leave your computer more susceptible to malicious activity.

3
Stay connected to eMule for as long as possible, as the length of your eMule session can enhance the download speed. Minimize the eMule window to keep it running constantly in the background.
-
4
Look for downloads with a high number of sources. More sources means there are more users with the file available for you to download, boosting the download speed.
-
5
Upload as much as possible. EMule works on a credit system wherby users who upload files have access to increased download capability.
