Ensure air quality within the Camry by replacing the cabin air filter

The cabin air filter for the Toyota Camry filters the air entering the vehicle. The filter is in the passenger glove compartment box, outside the air intake. A clogged or dirty cabin air filter reduces the airflow from the cabin vents. A clogged or dirty cabin air filter will also decrease the air quality within the vehicle as it will not properly catch allergens, pollen, dirt and debris as the air passes through. Replace the cabin air filter regularly to ensure maximum air quality.

Locate the two screws on the interior ceiling of the glove box; these screws secure the box in place. Remove the two screws using the correct screwdriver and allow the box to hang down.

Insert a replacement cabin air filter; slide the new filter into place within the retainer clips. Replace the cover. Reinstall the glove compartment box back and replace the screws to ensure it's secured. Replace the contents to the glove box and close the glove box door.
