Large gym systems and equipment have a series of pulleys and cables attached to weights that allow you to work out on one self-contained unit instead of several single-exercise machines. Home gyms allow you to do different workout routines; some exercises require different handlebars be connected to the cable equipment. Changing handlebars only takes a moment, so you can quickly get back into your workout.

      Release your grip on the current handlebar. The weight should be resting in the stationary position before handlebars are changed.

      Find the loop connecting the handlebar to the pulley. Push the clip in and pull the current handlebar off of the pulley system.

    • 3

      Take out the replacement handlebar. Push in the clamp and slide it around the end of the pulley. Release the clamp and the handle bar is ready to be used.

    • 4

      Repeat the process with every new device you need to connect to the gym equipment.
