Green straight-leg pants

You can represent the Lollipop Guild from The Wizard of Oz in your easy-to-make Lollipop Guild costume. Lollipop Guild costumes can be created using green plaid, solid blue, or brown plaid. Grab your favorite solid-colored low-top sneakers, some orange hair dye, and you will be set to be transported to Munchkin Land. Complete this costume in a single afternoon.
Lollipop Guild Pants
Step 1
Put on your pants. Make a note where your knee is in relation to the pants leg. Place a sewing pin in the fabric to mark the spot.

Step 2
Take your pants off and lay them on a flat surface. Be careful not to stick yourself with the sewing pin.
Step 3
Fold the pants in half so that the leg sections are on top of each other. The leg with the sewing pin should be on top.
Step 4
Use a ruler to mark a horizontal chalk line across the pants leg. This is the cutting line.
Step 5
Cut the bottom portion of the legs away from the pants. Make sure to cut both layers of the pants legs.
Step 6
Create the triangular fringe at the end of the shorts. Cut 2-inch triangles into the bottom of the pants legs all the way around the bottom of each leg.
Lollipop Guild Shirt
Step 1
Button the plaid shirt. Hot glue the large buttons over the top of the second, fourth and sixth button. Let the glue dry.
Step 2
Paint the shirt collar with white acrylic paint. Make sure to use two layers of paint for complete coverage.
Step 3
Cut the bottom shirttail off of the plaid shirt so that there is a straight edge. The shirt should rest a little above your waist.
Step 4
Create the triangular fringe at the end of the shirt. Cut 2-inch triangles into the bottom of the shirt all the way around the bottom edge.
Lollipop Guild Leggings
Step 1
Pull on the white leggings.
Step 2
Cut strips of green duct tape 2-inches wide and at least 8-inches long. The strips should be long enough to wrap completely around each section of your leg and long enough to overlap.
Step 3
Place the first 2-inch strip of duct tape 4 inches above your ankle. Wrap the tape loosely around your leg so that the leggings can come off.
Step 4
Place duct tape every 1 inch up your leg until you reach your knee. Do not wrap the tape tightly.
Lollipop Guild Lollipop
Step 1
Paint the dowel rod with white acrylic paint. Let it dry.
Step 2
Cut the foam board into a 10-inch circle. This is the lollipop form.
Step 3
Duct tape one end of the dowel rod to the center of the foam board.
Step 4
Place a dab of hot glue on the center of the foam board and randomly around the surface.
Step 5
Lay the sheet of crepe paper over the hot glue. Press the paper into the hot glue.
Step 6
Wrap the edges of the crepe paper around the lollipop form and glue the paper to the other side of the foam board.
Step 7
Wrap a large piece of cellophane around the crepe paper on the stick. Secure it in place with a piece of ribbon tied in a bow.
