1
Measure the circumference and the height of each plastic container. Use these measurements to cut strips of scrapbook paper to fit on each container like a label.
-
2
Cut rectangles of white paper, smaller than the strips of scrapbook paper, but large enough to allow you to fit all the necessary information about what you are raising money for, and write all the pertinent information about the fundraiser on the piece of paper. Write about why you are collecting money, how the money will be used, what the name of your group is and when the money will be collected and distributed to its intended cause. The more information you give people, the more likely it is that they will donate.

Attach the white paper will the information and a picture if you have one to the strip of scrapbook paper with clear packaging tape. A picture that relates to your cause will make your donation containers more compelling, especially if you are raising money for a specific person, group of people or animal, because it gives people a visual of where their money is going.

4
Attach the new labels to the recycled containers using clear packaging tape. Wrap the packaging tape all the way around the labels from the top of the label to the bottom, kind of like laminating the labels to the containers. This will protect the containers from any moisture they may come into contact with as well as keep them from being easily ripped off from wear and tear.

5
Cut slots in the top of plastic container lids with a craft knife. Keep your fingers clear of the knife's blade and always cut parallel with your body, not toward your body. Place the lids back on the containers and they are ready to be put on display.
