How to Distort a Picture With Paint Shop Pro

You can use Paint Shop Pro to add a variety of distortions to a picture for weird and wonderful effects.

These instructions are for version 5.0 and above.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Start Paint Shop Pro. Click File and select Open.

  2. Step 2

    Locate your image and click Open.

  3. Step 3

    Select Deformations and then Deformations Browser from the Image menu.

  4. Step 4

    Click on each deformation to see a preview. Click on the deformation you wish to use and select Apply.

  5. Step 5

    Follow the directions in the dialog box for each deformation. You will see a preview image before selecting OK.

  6. Step 6

    Select Save As from the File menu and save your picture under a different name so that you have the original as well as the distorted version.

Tips & Warnings
  • Select Undo from the Edit menu to undo a distortion.
