Replace your wooden or plastic toilet seat cover with just one common household tool. Start by finding an identical toilet seat cover (lid). Instructions

      Remove the screws from the lid's hinge. Separate the lid from the hinge components.

      Slide the hinge components off of the center bolts. Keep the hinges if your replacement lid didn't come with any.

      Unscrew slightly and loosen the hinges on the new toilet seat cover. Hold the seat cover in between the center bolts on the seat.

    • 4

      Slide the hinge components onto the bolts. Straighten the hinge components and tighten the screws.
