How to Create a Negative Image in PaintShop Pro X2
Corel's PaintShop Photo Pro X2 is a widely used graphics editing application. It allows photographers to create, edit and export bitmap images in a range of formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG and TIFF. Its point-and-click interface simplifies changes to image sizing and color modes, the addition of text and shapes and the application of filters and effects. Once you know where to look, creating a negative image in Paint Shop Photo Pro X2 is a quick task.

Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Open."

Locate the file you want to turn into a negative image, and then double-click its icon to open the file in PaintShop Photo Pro X2.

Click "Layer" in the top menu bar and select "Duplicate" to create a copy of your original image. Editing a copy allows you to delete the layer and revert to your original image if the edits do not turn out as planned.

Click "Image" in the top menu bar and select "Negative Image." A negative of your original image is created immediately.

Save the updated file to your preferred format by clicking "File" in the top menu bar, selecting "Save As" and following the on-screen prompts.
