How to Buy Things Wholesale for E-Bay Selling
Many people have heard success stories from selling wholesale items on eBay. Buying wholesale is buying a quantity of merchandise for a discounted price. The more items that are purchased, the bigger the discount. Then the buyer sells the wholesale items at the retail price online, which creates a profit for the buyer. Many wholesale companies will work with eBay sellers, and sell online or offline. There are a few tips to follow before attempting to buy wholesale and sell online.

Most wholesalers require a business license for you to purchase from them. So, go to your state's website and navigate to the taxing authority or business license section. Many state websites have a "Starting a Business" link. Find the business license listed as "Resale License" or "Reseller's License." Fill out the forms provided by the state to apply for the license. Some states with sales tax require a sales tax number instead of a business license. These numbers and licenses are usually in the $50-or-less range.

Go to eBay Pulse at Pulse.eBay.com. Select your category from the "Category" dropdown. For example, if you want to be a jewelry reseller, select "Jewelry and Watches." EBay Pulse lists the top 10 most popular searches, largest stores and most watched items in that category. This gives you an idea of what is selling on eBay. Use this information to determine what type of wholesaler to buy from.
