The Best Way to Clean Paneling
Wood paneling is an affordable interior-design option used in many areas of the home from bedrooms to living rooms. Just as the rest of your home, paneling requires cleaning on occasion. When paneling isn't cleaned, dirt and residue will build up over time, dulling the crisp appearance of the panels. The best way to clean the paneling is to make your own inexpensive cleaning solution, and use it as needed. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Wipe the paneling with a feather duster to remove any loose dirt that has collected.
-
2
Fill one bucket with 1 gallon of warm water and 2 squirts of mild dish soap. The soap will cut through residue without leaving a film behind on the paneling.
-
-
3
Fill another bucket with plain warm water.
-
4
Dip a cleaning rag into the bucket of soapy water, and wring the rag out thoroughly. Wipe the rag across the paneling, starting at the bottom of each panel and working your way to the top.
-
5
Wipe each panel with a clean, damp cloth after washing it with the soapy water. Dip the fresh cloth into the bucket of plain water, wring it out, and wipe over the panel.
-
6
Buff each panel dry with a clean, dry cloth. Wipe with the grain of the wood. This will restore shine to the paneling.
-
7
Repeat the process until all panels are cleaned.
