      Find a free video game design tool online. Sploder offers a free demo. Although it is only a demo, it allows you to create an entertaining video game online for free. You can find the Sploder video game design tool at http://www.sploder.com/free-game-creator.php.

      Choose between creating a platform video game, this is an action-based role-playing game (RPG) similar to "Super Mario Brothers," or a shooter game, similar to "Halo." Click on the game type of your choice to get started.

      Design your game by adding blocks, tiles, enemies, obstacles, decorations, ammunition, power-ups and all the extras you want from the tool on the left. On the top right of the screen, for the platform game type, you’ll find tools that allow you to select, drag and delete items. Use these to move around the items you put into your video game. On the bottom right of the screen you’ll find tools that allow you to zoom in and out of your playing field or view all of your playing field and select a background for your playing field. In the shooter video game type tool, you’ll find only a delete tool on the top right and an additional “Caps-Lock” tool, which allows you to “toggle snap-to-grid.”

      Click on the “Test” tab on the top right of the screen to test your game. Play your game and click on the “Click here when you are done testing” tab on the top right of the screen when you are done.

      Make changes if you want to add more items or enemies to your game. You cannot use the “Save,” ”Save As,” or “Publish” tools unless you are a paying member of this website.
