How to Distort a Picture With Photoshop

Use Photoshop to create distortions or effects on an image. Amaze your friends with your graphical virtuosity!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Start Photoshop. From the File menu, select Open.

  2. Step 2

    Locate the file you want to distort and click Open.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the Filters menu to select available distortions. Click an effect and select its type.

  4. Step 4

    Follow the directions in the dialog box if asked. You will see a preview image before selecting OK.

  5. Step 5

    Select Save As from the File menu. Save the new picture under a different name, retaining the original.

Tips & Warnings
  • Select Undo from the Edit menu to undo a distortion.
