How to Convert iTunes MP4 to MP3 Open Source
Although music that is in the iTunes MP4 file format is compatible on iPod and iPhone devices, other portable music players may not support audio playback. In order to convert the song's compatibility from iTunes to an MP3 you can encode it using the iTunes audio encoder. The encoder settings are located in the iTunes Preferences menu, and allow you to convert any unprotected audio track to a number of file formats, including the open source MP3 format. Remove the original iTunes audio track in your iTunes music library once the conversion is complete to avoid duplicates.
