How to Make Glue for Gingerbread Houses From Karo Syrup

- 2 egg whites
- Egg separator
- Bowl
- Whisk or mixer
- ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¾ cup light Karo syrup
- 1-½ tsp. vanilla
- Food coloring (optional)
- Knife for spreading
- Storage container

Set the eggs out at room temperature. Crack the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks with an egg separator.

Combine the cream of tartar, salt and egg whites in a bowl. Beat until soft white peaks form.

Stir in the sugar gradually. Continue to beat the mixture until you have a smooth and glossy texture.
