How to Wear Large Headbands
Almost any type or length of hair can wear a headband. Women usually wear large headbands, rather than men. Large headbands work well for holding back bangs. They can also sit on top of the hair and act as an accent. Large headbands come in various colors, patterns and textures. You can use a cloth-covered headband or a hard plastic one. Headbands accent hairstyles and help hold the style into place. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Bangs
-
1
Brush the bangs back so that they are off your forehead.
-
2
Slide the headband on top of your bangs. Position it so that it hides the ends of your bands. Large headbands work well to cover the ends of the bangs.
-
-
3
Tuck any flyaways under the headband.
Top of the Head
-
4
Place a nickel-sized drop of hair gel on your palm. Spread it over the top of your head and down your hair to keep it smooth.
-
5
Place the headband over the crown of your head.
-
6
Position the headband so that the ends sit behind your ears.
Ponytail
-
7
Pull your hair back into a ponytail. It should sit no higher than the middle of the back of your head.
-
8
Place the headband over the crown of your head. From there, move it to where you want it to sit.
-
9
Tuck the ends of the headband into your hair. The ends may not fall directly behind your ears, depending on the angle in which you position the headband.
Curls or Waves
-
10
Curl your hair. Use a curling iron, hot rollers or curlers.
-
11
Gather the curled hair behind your head.
-
12
Slip on the headband. Use it to hold the curls away from your face.
Curls Up-Do
-
13
Use bobby pins to pin your curls into a messy bun at the back or top of your head. Leave one long strand one either side of your forehead free.
-
14
Slip the headband on. Push it to the crown of your head.
-
15
Leave the two strands in front hand free to frame your face.
