Instructions

    • 1

Sand three hollow doors with fine-grit sandpaper. Use a dry cloth to remove the dust from the doors.

    • 2

Apply one coat of primer to the doors with a paint brush or roller. Lightly sand with fine-grit sandpaper and apply a second coat of primer.

    • 3

Cover the entire surface of all three doors with solid-colored wallpaper. Place the wallpaper over the front of the doors. Fold the wallpaper over the corners and toward the back of the doors. Measure the height and width of the back of a door with a tape measure. Cut a piece of wallpaper with a pair of scissors to the measured size. Apply the wallpaper to the back of the door. Cover the wallpaper wrapped around from the front.

    • 4

Cover the top of the doors with wallpaper. Choose a contrasting color and cover the top 10 inches of the doors.

    • 5

Cut strips of wallpaper to be used as stripes on the bottom of the doors. Choose a color that compliments the other colors. For wide stripes, cut 4-inch-wide strips. Cut 2-inch strips for thinner stripes. Place the stripes vertically on the bottom of the doors.

    • 6

Place a matching border over the tops of the stripes. Choose a border that coordinates with the colors on the doors and place it over the tops of the stripes.

    • 7

Install hinges. Use three evenly spaced hinges to join each door. Have a second person hold the doors in place or prop them up with heavy items. Use a pencil to mark the areas where the hinges will be installed. Attach the hinges with the included screws. The divider screen is complete.
