How to Polish a Stainless Steel Pot
Stainless steel requires minimal care to keep up its beautiful luster. Take care not to allow food to burn in your stainless pots. Don't use metal utensils, which will scratch the metal's surface. Polish your stainless pots from time to time, whenever they begin to look dull. Things You'll Need
- Dishwashing liquid
- Baking soda
- Dish towels
- Non-abrasive scrub pad or sponge

Wash the pot normally in soapy water. Rinse and dry.

If any greasy spots remain, scrub with a small amount of dishwashing liquid on a non-abrasive scrubber and rinse.

While the surface is still wet, apply baking soda to the pot with a non-abrasive pad or towel. This should create a paste about the same consistency as toothpaste. Work your way around the pot, rewetting as necessary.

Rinse the pot with clear water.

Buff to a shine with a soft, dry cloth.
